Giving Voice: LaborFest Writers Anthology 2005–2018

The anthology launch reading. Giving Voice includes a selection of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry — stories about the lives and struggles of laborers, farmers, cooks, cowboys, and coalminers from China, Ireland, Britain, rural Wisconsin, and the Old West. The anthology was hot off the press and this event was the first opportunity to buy a copy. The evening also honored deceased members Phyllis Holliday and Adele Kearney.

About the Venue

An independent bookstore near the Hayes Valley/Market Street corridor, focused on ecology, urbanism, and progressive politics.
